Basic Pizza Sauce
This sauce is quick and easy and can be made in one bowl. It is a simple way to amp up the flavor in any pizza recipe.

- Mixing bowl
- Measuring spoons
Ingredients
- 15 oz can of tomato sauce
- 6 oz can of tomato paste
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 Tbsp nutritional yeast optional
- 2 Tbsp Italian seasoning
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp Kosher salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
Instructions
- In a medium mixing bowl stir together tomato sauce, tomato paste, olive oil, and nutritional yeast if using.
- Add the remaining ingredients (Italian seasoning, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper and mix well.
- Use it on pizza or store in the fridge for up to two weeks.
Notes
The consistency of the pizza sauce will thicken in the fridge so please allow it to come to room temperature or reheat in the microwave before using it on pizza.
