This recipe has evolved over the years. I started off making a vegetarian version of this and after going vegan I have modified it to include egg and cheese substitutes. This recipe is versatile and toppings can be altered to accommodate your taste. Adding green bell pepper, mushrooms, and onion would make delicious additions. Basic Breakfast Pizza
All of the best parts of a vegan breakfast in pizza form.
Equipment
- 9" x 13" baking sheet
- Skillet
- parchment paper
Ingredients
- 2 tsp olive oil
- 2 packages of crescent roll dough
- ½ bottle Just egg
- 1 bag Daiya cheddar shreds
- Tempeh breakfast sausage
- ½ bag of frozen hashbrowns
- ½ tsp red pepper flakes
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350° F
- Cook hashbrowns according to package instructions
- Line a 9” x 13” baking sheet with parchment paper
- Cover baking sheet with crescent dough triangles and press together to form a crust
- Spread hashbrowns over crescent dough
- Sprinkle vegan cheese
- Drizzle Just egg over top of cheese
- Top with tempeh breakfast sausage.
- Sprinkle with red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper
- Cook pizza until Just egg is set and the crust is golden, about 15 – 20 minutes
