This is pizza is a great option if you want to mix up your basic pizza flavors. The fusion of salty vegan salami, crispy roasted brussels sprouts, and smash garlic is a winning combination. I use Miyokos vegan mozzarella and Yves vegan salami and my basic pizza crust recipe in my ingredients.
Roasted Brussels Sprouts and Vegan Salami Pizza
The salty vegan salami fused with the crispy roasted brussels sprouts and smashed roasted garlic is an amazing combination.
Equipment
- baking sheet
- parchment paper
Ingredients
- 1 recipe Basic pizza crust
- 2 Tbsp olive oil divided
- 10 brussels sprouts divided; 8 halved or quartered depending on size and 2 shredded
- 1 shallot thinly sliced
- 6 whole garlic cloves peeled or more to taste
- 1 tsp red pepper flakes plus more for garnish or more to taste
- 3 oz Miyokos vegan mozzarella or more to taste
- 4 slices Yves vegan salami quartered
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 450°
- Follow the basic pizza crust recipe to prepare the crust
- On a baking sheet place the brussels sprouts, garlic, and shallot and toss with 1 Tbsp of the olive oil, red pepper flakes, and salt and pepper to taste
- Bake in oven for 15 minutes flipping half-way through
- Smash garlic cloves with a fork
- Spread pizza dough into a 12” round on parchment paper and brush with remaining olive oil and spread smashed garlic on top
- Add 1 inch pieces of the mozzarella over the dough, followed by salami, and roasted brussels sprouts
- Cook pizza for 20 minutes turning half way through
- Top pizza with shredded brussels sprouts, additional red pepper flakes, shallots, and a sprinkle of salt
