This sauce is so simple to create and only consists of two ingredients. I put this on everything from pizza and wraps to salads and roasted vegetables. Let’s be honest, I would probably drink this straight out of the mason jar. Give this recipe a try and I guarantee it will be your new go-to sauce to put on everything!
Balsamic Fig Reduction
This sauce contains only two ingredients and tastes amazing on pizza, salads, sandwiches, and roasted vegetables.
Equipment
- medium sauce pan
Ingredients
- ¾ cup balsamic vinegar
- ½ cup fig preserves
Instructions
- Bring balsamic vinegar to a gentile boil in a small sauce pan
- Reduce heat and simmer for 10-12 minutes stirring often while vinegar reduces and thickens
- Stir in fig preserves until combined
Notes
The longer the vinegar simmers and reduces the thicker the consistency.
