Vegan Crème Fraîche is a quick staple you can make to add to many different recipes. Try it as a sour cream replacement, add it to dips, use it as a topping for soups, and use it as a finishing sauce on recipes like my Potato and Pesto Pizza Topped with Vegan Crème Fraîche and Micro Greens. My favorite food to pair Crème Fraîche with is potatoes. Mix it into mashed potatoes or top potato pancakes and baked potatoes for extra flair.
Vegan Crème Fraîche
My 5 minute Vegan Crème Fraîche is easy to make. Throw all the ingredients into a blender and viola!
Equipment
- Food processor
Ingredients
- 1 cup of raw cashews
- ½ cup of water
- 1 Tbsp white balsamic vinegar
- Juice from one medium lemon
- 1 tsp kosher salt
Instructions
- Soak cashews in warm water for two hours
- Drain cashews and pour into a food processor with the rest of the ingredients
- Blend until smooth adding more water 1 Tbsp at a time if needed to thin the mixture
Notes
You can incorporate fresh or dried herbs into the sauce for added flavor.
