Crispy and smoky bacon bits are the perfect addition to pizza, salad, pasta, sandwiches, and more.

Equipment

  • baking sheet
  • parchment paper

Ingredients

  • 1 package of firm tofu drained and pressed
  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • 3 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp maple syrup
  • 2 tsp liquid smoke
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp garlic powder

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 425°F

  • Cut the tofu into ¼” cubes

  • In a medium mixing bowl combine the remaining ingredients

  • Gently toss the tofu in the mixture

  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper

  • Spread the tofu on the parchment paper in an even layer
  • Bake for 30 minutes flipping tofu every 10 minutes until crispy
