I love pizzas using prepared crusts for nights when I want a homemade pizza but using only half the effort. Store-bought focaccia allows you to have this pizza on your plate in less than 20 minutes.
Focaccia is a great pizza base because it is sturdy and built in flavor. You can choose plain focaccia bread or get more inventive with focaccia with olives and rosemary. The crispy outside and chewy inside make for a satisfying bite. Vegan salami has a smoky salty flavor that compliments the woody freshness of the artichoke and the nutty flavor of the green olives. Finally, I top everything off with peppery arugula.
If you have more time or enjoy baking try making one of my homemade focaccia breads for your pizza crust. The long-proof method that I use does involve planning a couple days ahead but the flavor built from the fermentation of the dough is worth the wait. Check out the recipes below for inspiration.
