Change up Taco Tuesdays with this quick and easy taco pizza. You can use my basic pizza crust recipe if you have some extra time or grab store-bought pizza dough to save time. The soy curl taco meat is so quick to make you can prepare it while the oven is preheating. Feel free to change up the ingredients to your taco-filling favorites.
Taco Pizza
Mix up taco Tuesday with this taco pizza recipe. Opting for a store-bought crust makes this pizza a quick week night meal option.
Equipment
- 2 baking sheets
- 1 Chef's Knife
- 1 cutting board
Ingredients
- 1 Basic pizza crust recipe or store-bought
- 2 Tbsp olive oil divided
- 1 recipe of soy curl taco meat
- ½ cup salsa
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 bag Daiya cheddar shreds
- ½ green pepper sliced
- ½ white onion sliced
- ⅓ cup cherry tomatoes sliced
- 10 black olives sliced
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 450°
- Follow the basic pizza crust recipe to prepare the crust or use a store-bought crust
- Prepare soy curl taco meat per recipe instructions above and set aside
- Slice green pepper, onion, tomatoes, and olives
- Spread pizza dough into a 12” round on parchment paper and brush with 1 Tbsp of olive oil
- Spread salsa over dough and sprinkle minced garlic over salsa over two pizzas
- Divide cheese over the two pizzas
- Top pizzas with soy curls, onion, pepper, tomato, and olives
- Cook pizzas for 20 minutes turning half way through
- Top cooked pizzas with any other desired taco condiments: sour cream, guacamole, cilantro, additional cheese, etc.
Notes
Adapt any of the ingredients to your preferred taco toppings.
